Adriana Groh (she/her)

Director, Prototype Fund, Open Knowledge Foundation

Adriana Groh is Head of Civic Tech at the Open Knowledge Foundation, a Berlin-based NGO that works for a digital civil society. As the Director of the Prototype Fund she supports innovative public interest tech projects, funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research. She also leads Code for Germany, a network with labs in 26 cities and more than 800 volunteers who work for Open Government. Previously, she founded the initiative Wepublic and launched a messenger app between citizens and politicians for the German federal election, and she co-initiated the #WeVsVirus online hackathon with 46.000 participants to find solutions for the Covid-19 pandemic. Adriana holds a master’s degree in public policy and governance from Maastricht University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from Goethe University Frankfurt.
