Prateek Buch is Senior Data Advisor at the National Leadership Centre (NLC) in the Cabinet Office, curating and disseminating the best available research evidence on developing collaborative, impactful public service leaders.
Prior to joining the NLC, Prateek led cross-government policy initiatives to improve the use of data. He’s an active member of the global OneTeamGov community, promoting radical reform of public service through inclusive, collaborative, practical action. Through OneTeamGov he’s helped organise and facilitate innovative interventions such as hackathons, including on improving public sector bureaucracy, and global unconferences, including on collaboration and on climate change.
Prateek is a recovering academic, having spent 11 years developing gene and stem cell therapy for blindness at UCL, and several years as a civil society advocate for the better use of evidence in public life. He’s also a father, sports nut, and northerner in exile.
