Kim Watson is Vice President and General Manager, Federal Market, for IBM Canada, effective February 2020.
In this role, Kim proudly leads an outstanding team that is passionate about delivering value to the Federal Government.
Prior to taking on this position, Kim was Vice President, Office of the Chairman, President and CEO of IBM.
Ms. Watson has been in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) field for over 30 years in various leadership roles including development, sales, engineering, delivery, software, managed services and outsourcing. Prior to joining IBM Canada in 2012, Kim enjoyed five years with Bell Canada where she held leadership positions as Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Program Delivery. Before being recruited to join Bell Canada, Kim was with IBM Canada for 20 years where she held leadership positions in the IBM Global Services and IBM Software divisions.
Kim is best known by her clients and co-workers as an energetic and motivating leader with a proven ability to construct creative and innovative approaches to driving new business and delivering large programs. She boasts a flexible skill set with an excellent understanding of technology and an ability to engage a large team at all levels to achieve an objective. Kim is viewed as possessing a strategic mindset, a collaborative attitude and a strong passion for accomplishing goals.
